Liskeard RBL had a fabulous day at the Liskeard Show on Saturday 13th July 2024, full on from 8am to 5pm, connecting and re-connecting with so many people who stopped to support us, and much banter and mickey-taking between us.
We were able to convey our thanks to our outgoing MP for the support she has given us over her tenure and to meet up with her successor, our new MP, and introduce ourselves as an a-political organisation but with veteran concerns at heart.
It was also great to hear the Liskeard Silver Band and the Liskeard Community Choir who will be forming the programme for our Festival of Remembrance Concert in October.
The event today couldn't happen without the practical services of Jim, transporting all the equipment needed, Trevor, Chrissie, Parky and Heather running our show tent selling our merchandise, running the Hook the Poppy game for youngsters and promoting the welfare and membership side.
