Every year anglers from Wales and the South West gather on the banks of the River Avon on Remembrance Sunday to compete for the Bill Milton memorial trophy. The event is organised by Ray Bazeley and Paul Bence and is sponsored by Procept Buildings, D W Smith, Gems Jewellers and several local tackle shops. Despite the weather eighty four anglers took part in 2023 the winner being Nigel Wyatt.

This year the event raised an amazing £4010 for the Poppy appeal.
