Membership renewal

1. Members re-newing their RBL/Branch membership:

Members paying by Direct Debit will receive their new membership cards directly by post after their fees have been collected.

Members paying by "cash" will receive a renewal letter with instructions on how to pay. This letter will also show your membership number which you will need if you renew online.

Note: All RBL/Branch membership payments are processed centrally now and you need to use the renewal slip along with your payment when you send your payment in.

Note: The RBL has stopped collecting and processing club membership fees.

2. Kilkeel RBL/Branch Membership Fees:

RBL fee - currently £18 and there is no branch fee from October 2021.

[The RBL requires all members to be a member of a branch as well as being a member of the RBL]

2.1 Members paying by cheque must include the following on the back of the cheque: first initial, surname, post code and membership number.

3. Since all membership cards are now issued directly to members and not via the Branch, it is important to keep your adddress details up to-date. Changes of address can still be made via your Branch Secretary/Membership Secretary.  For Kilkeel members: email kilkeelrbl@gmail.com

4. Online joining cannot be used to join British Legion clubs, you need to apply to the club directly. You also need to be a RBL/Branch member.

5. Lapsed memberships - Contact the Branch membership secretary if you wish to "unlapse" you membership then wait for RBL Membership Services to contact you with payment instructions. This will keep your existing membership number.  [It is important not to use a membership application form to re-join if your membership has lapsed.]

6. Email address for British Legion membership issues is: membershipservices @britishlgeion.org.uk.      Always quote your membership number.
