VJ Memorial Service - Burma Star Association

Burma Star Rose Garden, Huw Watt Close, Wingfield Drive, Orsett (RM16 3GU)

There are usually refreshments afterwards at The Masonic Hall, Rectory Road, Orsett (RM16 3EH) 

PLEASE NOTE : This is in a residential estate so please park with consideration.

 

Battle of Britain Parade - Thurrock Branch Royal Air Forces Assocation

Sunday 15th September - 1030

Grays War Memorial, Orsett Road, Grays

Please note : Everyone attending is invited to a BBQ at Thurrock Branch Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) Club, 61 Southend Road, Grays (RM17 5NL)

Payment for the BBQ is by donation with all profits going to The Wings Appeal.

Horndon on the Hill Remembrance Parade - Horndon Branch RBL

Sunday 10th November - 1030

Act of Rememberance at War Memorial (Orsett Road) followed by a service in the church

Meet at The Bell Inn, High Road, Horndon at 1015 for a short march to the War Memorial

 

Stanford le Hope Remembrance Parade - Horndon Branch RBL

Sunday 11th November - 1040

Service and Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial at 1040

Those involved in the march to meet at Stanford le Hope Primary School, Copland Road at 1000 for a 1020 march off.

 

Coalhouse Fort Memorial Day

Sunday 24th November 

Coalhouse Fort opens at 11am

Remembrance Parade

Meet outside fort at 1230 for short march to service inside the fort starting at around 1pm 

NOTE : Coalhouse Fort opens to the public on the last Sunday of each month and this is their last open day of the year.  So why not combine your participation in the parade and service with a visit to this historic site in Thurrock, which is run by volunteers.
