Highworth

The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

Highworth and District Branch members have traditionally taken part in the local Remembrance Day Parade through Highworth and the subsequent memorial service in St. Michael's Church. The Parade forms up from 09:15 along Cherry Orchard, marching off at approximately 09:30-09:40. Posters and information will be available around the town and updates will be posted on the news & events section.

We welcome all Legion members, serving members of HM Forces and Veterans to march with us behind the Union Flag and the Branch Standard. A buffet for the parade participants is normally provided in the King & Queen public house after the march back down the high street.
