As the 8th Oldest branch in the country, initially the Branch had no home of its own. The Branch purchased the site of the former Bridge Mill House and Legion Hall in St Marys St was built.
We have a long list of past chairmen. Historically Branch & Club were managed by one committee and thus the chairman of the Branch was the Chairman of the Club. When the decision was taken to ensure the two were separated two committees were formed - one for the Branch and a separate committee for the management of the Club.
John Llewellyn was the last person to hold the post of chairman of both club and Branch and he became the first chairman of the Club as a single entity.
