Haughley Royal British Legion is hosting Suffolk Legion Day and County Rally 2016. Taking place at the spacious King George V fields in Haughley from 1pm on the 2nd July. Branches from across the county will come together to engage with the local community across Suffolk.
The rally intends to 'tap' into the younger generation to show them the legion isn't outdated. With various arena displays showcasing their talent from Suffolk and local exhibitors around the arena, this event proves to be family orientated with a fresh feel. With old school games and fun with classic cars and much, much more!
As you know the legion helps provide support and welfare for veterans and their families which has seen a significant increase in the last 10years.
Beau Cole a youth member from Elmswell who's father Shaun suffers from Gulf War syndrome said;
" It was good to be in the Royal British Legion because he has been made aware of what service people go through and also the problems some have after their service. By coming to this event you are going to be helping veterans like my dad"
