It is nearly that time of year again - yes you heard me correct!

Our AGM is taking place in October 2019 where the branch is at a crossroads. At our committee meeting in August four members have taken the to decision to stand down due to health, work and family commitments. 

The stark reality is this. If we do not have a strong committee to take us into 2020 the branch will not be as active as it has been in the last five years which will be a shame. However like the majority of branches the membership is not as young as it once was. 

You are probably wondering what is required as a committee member? Let us tell you!

Ensure the branch is run properly.

Aid the branch committee & promote the legion at local level.

Attend any training if applicable.

Assist with the Poppy Appeal and other benevolent fundraising activities within the branch.

Attend all committee meetings & branch meetings.
