Ypres 100km 2024

Branch members from Lydbrook will be joining us to take part in the Ypres (Ieper) 100km three day event in Belgium. The 2024 event will take place ovet the long weekend of Thursday 9th May 2024 to Saturday 11th May 2024. It is not necessary to complete 100km as this is the maximum over three days. There are various distanmces per day ranging from 6km to 50km.

Rebecca, Nigel and Michelle have committed to doing the 100Km Van Leper walk in 3 days to help raise money for our local Hardwicke branch of The Royal British Legion. We will be part of a wider team of veterans going from Gloucester to take part which also includes our RBL branch Chairman.

Rebecca said, “This year it’s Nigel’s BIG birthday and we were keen to do both a challenge and raise much needed funds for our local branch of the Royal British Legion. The 100km walk will take place in Ypres (9-11 May) and includes hundreds of veterans from across Europe. We arrive in Ypres on 8 May (79th anniversary of VE Day).”
