Poppy Plod 2011

The Hardwicke & District Branch Poppy Plod took place on Sunday 30th October 2011. The event is the official start of our fund raising year for the Poppy Appeal. The Branch was assisted in organising this event by Gloucester Athletic Club, who supplied staff, prizes and medals for all competitors.

The event covers a measured 5km course through our community at Hardwicke. It is open to everyone from the dedicated professional runner, mum and dad with a push chair and persons of all abilities who wish to do their bit. This year saw our first competitor complete the entire course on crutches, having injured her leg during the week !
