On Remembrance Sunday every year, large crowds of members of the public gather with armed forces personnel, civil dignitaries and members of the several branches of the Royal British Legion covering the Sheffield area, to attend the Service of Remembrance in Barkers Pool, Sheffield. Numerous organisations lay wreathes at the memorial in the centre of Barkers Pool to remember those who served and paid the ultimate sacrifice in times of conflict.
