Halifax Central

The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

The Halifax Central Branch represents the Royal British Legion at the Halifax Cenotaph Ceremony and Wreaths are laid by several members.

We lay a Wreath at the memorial in the Stoney Royd cemetary where there are about thirty service graves.

We lay small crosses at the eight service graves in the old St. Pauls graveyard at King Cross.
