The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.
Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.
Our Remembrance service commences at 10:55. The Army Cadet Force band, accompanied by cadets and local organisations, march from the drill hall to the Memorial Theatre for the service. Many hundreds from our local community join us there and then afterwards in the Assembly Rooms.
