Poppy Appeal Collector Awards – 30th June 2018.  

Thank You to all who came along to this annual event on Armed Forces Day, hosted by Judy and Bill Tyack in their garden at Roughwood House.  Once again we had fine weather and enjoyed a cheese and wine lunch in the marquee.  This year we thanked 70 of our collectors with our MP, Ranil Jayawardena  presenting Certicates of Appreciation and Long Service awards.

Particular mention must be made of our longest serving collectors; 25 years, Peggy Cooke, Sally Foulkes, Mary Hepburn, Linda Storey, Jenny Thorne, Barbara & John Coombes.  30 years, Monica Lamb.  35 years, Jean Credland, Jennifer Edmonds and Sue Sagun.  40 years, Janet Farmer and Joyce Stace.  Thank You for your unstinting support. 

We also said 'Thank You' to Sonia Hannan who passed on the baton of Poppy Appeal and Poppy Collector administration after many years of meticulous record keeping.

The Raffle raised a marvellous £400. Thank you to all the prize donors.
