The Leeds Group of The Royal British Legion held their annual Poppy Launch in the Light's Shopping Centre in Leeds on Friday the 20th September 2015.

This was attended by the Lord Mayor of Leeds and was compared by Liz Green from BBC Radio Leeds.     During the service the first Poppy was presented  by the Lord Mayor of Leeds to an elderly veteran who was 101 years old - Mr Joe Morton who served in the Army during WW2.
