On the 6th September 2015 The Yorkshire Air Museum held their annual Allied Air Forces Day. During the second World War French airmen were stationed at RAF Elvington which was a Bomber Command airfield from where they made numerous bombing raids over enemy territory.
VIP's attending the event was a Deputy Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, The Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshall Sir Andrew Pulford.
During the day we were honoured by a fly past of The Red Arrows that surprised everyone as they flew over the air field.
