In memory of Bill Day

After a long illness Bill day past away last Sunday the 7th of December. He was a loyal and well loved member of the Colchester branch of the Royal British Legion. Each year together with his Wife Betty they raised thousands of pounds for the poppy appeal.

Bill Funeral service will be at St James the Great on East Hill on Monday the 22nd of December at 9.45am.

We would like as many members as possible to attend to form a guard of honour.

The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.
