In addition to the Annual Poppy Appeal, the Chinnor and District Branch holds fundraising events throughout the year.

Recent examples are our Booth at the Kingston Blount Point To Point May Meeting, our 90th Anniversary Village Gala and our Saint George's Day Lunch.

Some of these funds are added to the Poppy Appeal, and some are retained by the Branch for use in the local community.

In 2011 the Branch was pleased to donate £2011 to the Oxfordshire Welfare (Sir John Thompson) Fund which is able to provide support rapidly to servicemen and women and their families in Oxfordshire.

We have also been pleased to mark the Diamond Jubilee of the Royal British Legion's Patron, Her Majesty The Queen, with a further donation to that fund of £2012.
