Nearby is the KIRKLINTON ROLL OF HONOUR of the names of officers and men who served “for Honour and Freedom in the Great War”.

“Proudly you gathered, rank on rank to war”.

It is an illuminated Roll of Honour on parchment, set in a glazed dark wooden frame. The Roll of Honour does not differentiate the casualties but that can be derived by comparing it with the brass at the west end of the north wall. It should be noted that 6 of the names on the brass are not on this memorial, but that is far from unusual, possibly the brass post dates this ROH. Equally there may have been different qualifying conditions for the 2 memorials.
