This beautiful window is one of two which commemorate the sons of Frederick William Chance KBE, and his wife Mary Seton Chance.   They lived at Morton, Carlisle.

Brevet Lieut Colonel Edward Seton Chance, of 2nd Dragoon Guards (Queen's Bays), was attached as Commanding Officer to 6th Bn Leicestershire Regiment when he was killed on 29th May 1915.  He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Soissons Memorial to the Missing.  He was the 36 years old son of Frederick William Chance KBE and his wife Mary Seton Chance.
