Covid 19 Update

I hope that this letter finds you well and safe.  Things have been very difficult for us all over the last 3 months, but hopefully we are beginning to see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.  We, as a branch have not been able to either visit members or commemorate anniversaries we had hoped meaning that we have become more distanced from the local community than we would have liked.  With the easing of restrictions, we need to reassure members that we are still here to help and ensure that you are aware of support available and how to access it.

The purpose of The Royal British Legion is to support both serving members of the Armed Forces, veterans and their dependants in a variety of ways from financial and medical to cup of tea and a chat.  Whilst the Government, local authorities and local communities have provided support mechanisms during this difficult period, members sometimes forget that their branch of The Royal British Legion can also provide much needed support.

We are also looking at how we can resume socially distanced meetings in the near future.
