Branch Update
As you are aware, in line with both Government direction and The Royal British Legion Management advice all meetings and gatherings of local branches were suspended in March due to the Covid 19 pandemic outbreak. Government regulations have now been relaxed allowing meetings to be conducted whilst adhering to social distancing and any local regulations applied. As we do not have our own premises to conduct meetings we must ensure that any future meetings do not put members or clientele of the Hare on the Green at any risk.
I am aware that many of our members fall into the “risk” category and have decided that for the time being the branch will hold Executive Committee (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary) meetings only to ensure that general branch business is continued. However if any member wishes any issues to be raised then please contact either myself or the branch secretary and we will include it on the agenda for the next meeting.
Once the situation has become more stable and general confidence has returned, we will look at expanding meetings to full committee and then full membership. Until we can all meet again, stay safe and healthy.
