D-Day Anniversary Dinner - 17 May 2024

Friday 17 May 2024 saw the Brampton & District Branch of the Royal British Legion hold its first formal dinner commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day landings.
On a glorious summer evening, the Dinner was held at Brampton Park Golf Club and was attended by 75 members, guests and friends of the Branch including serving military personnel from 42 Engineer Regiment, The Royal Navy, and Sawtry and Buckden RBL members respectively.

| Operations commenced with guests being greeted by the Military Wives Choir, Brampton and Wyton. After rallying pleasantries from the Branch President, Mr John Bridge OBE DL, Trevor Stone provided a short briefing of the events leading up to and including the D-Day landings. |

A fabulous four course meal followed, accompanied by music from a quartet of the RAF Wyton Area Voluntary Band.
