The Branch Centenary

The Bedford and District branch of the Royal British Legion was formed in 1921 and is one of the oldest branches in the country.

Following the lifting of Covid restrictions, we were able to hold a Service of Thanksgiving at St Peter-de-Merton Church, Bedford on Saturday 7th May 2022, when the Centenary Pennant was blessed and attached to the Branch Standard.

Thanks go to the Standard Bearers from across the County who supported the event, and particularly to Sid Lovitt of Woburn Branch who carried the Branch Standard for us.
