When we think of War Memorials we naturally think of the main war memorial, we naturally all think about the three main memorials in the branch area at Barnoldswick Carpark, Salterforth Park and Sough Park. However they are not the only memorials in the branch area.

In a branch area that is made up of what was a collection of villages, it is not surprising that there are numerous others smaller and more personal memorials dotted round the district in Churches, Schools, Halls and Factories, some of which are no longer in their original locations and which are not normally seen by the general public. 

It is therefore important that these amazing items of community history are recorded and retained.
