Paul Riley, Landlord of the Cock pub in Baldock organised a fun Quiz night on Sunday 3rd of July 2016 in aid of the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. A number teams participated answering a variety of difficult and not-so-difficult questions. In the interval Paul served everyone with hot potatoes snacks.

A Raffle was held and an impromptu whip round raided the regulars for any loose change.

By a miracle the Baldock Branch 'Legionnaires' team won by one point. Usually the winners and runners-ups are given a tab on the bar, but both graciously dropped the value into the Poppy Pot.

The total raised from the evening was £151.26 which is to be split between The Poppy Appeal and The Baldock Branch.

Paul has offered to host another quiz during the Poppy Collecting fortnight in November.  Further details will be announced nearer the time.
