The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.
Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.
On Sunday 9th November 2025, a large number of people were present at the Remembrance Service and laying of wreaths at the War Memorial, Ashwell following the service held St Mary's Parish Church at 10am.
The names of the fallen were read and wreaths were laid and The Silence observed.
The Act of Remembrance was also held in Hinxworth at 11am.
