For obvious reasons, this year's Remembrancetide was different from previous years but The Royal British Legion in Spain and its Branches ensured that it was marked nevertheless.  Depending on local circumstances, this varied from Acts of Remembrance with reduced congregations, to simpler Acts that were livestreamed or broadcast after the event, to simple gatherings, socially distanced, for a moment's silence.

The Poppy Appeal itself began with a short Act of Remembrance in Benidorm on 16th October and you can see more details of that ceremony here.

Remembrance Sunday - Sunday, 8th November

Legion Branches from across the District managed to find ways to carry out a limited Act of Remembrance on Remembrance Sunday despite local restrictions. A small selection of photographs appears below.

You can still donate to the Poppy Appeal using our Go Fund Me page - https://www.gofundme.com/f/poppy-appeal-district-north-spain. The money we raise stays here in Spain to allow us to support local veterans and their families in need.
