County Chaplain (Padre)

New Year – new Padre!

As former padre Keith left Leicestershire for newer vistas in Dorset, it is my privilege to serve you as the new Chaplain for the County of Leicestershire and Rutland Royal British Legion!

A bit about myself, I am the Rector of Broughton Astley and Croft with Stoney Stanton and I reside in Broughton Astley. I have been an ordained priest 23 years!  Both my father and brother served in the Royal Air Force, and I have been chaplain to various Air Training Corps squadrons around the country and an RAFA branch and until recently an RBL branch in my home parish.

I am married with two grown up sons, one of whom, my eldest, had to suffer his mother being his ATC squadron padre!

I look forward very much to serving you as your chaplain. The Royal British Legion and all it stands for is close to my heart and the welfare and care of ex- servicemen and women and their families alongside encouraging and befriending branch members is very important to me.

I look forward to meeting and supporting you as much as I can, as and when we can all get together again !
