In 2015 the Royal British Legion Village Branch hosted our County Parade which took place in the new Garden of Honour in the Village on Sunday 5th July and many of our local Branches were represented on this Parade.
The marching party formed up close to the Garden at approximately 2:40 pm which left 15 minutes for the inspection of Standard Bearers and for the marching party to get seated. The Service then commence at 3:00 pm lasting for about 45 minutes.
After the service there was a short parade to the Capel Morris Centre car park with The Mayor Of Tonbridge & Malling taking the salute and then onto a reception held in the Capel Morris Community Hall.
As we, the Legion, are the guardians of Remembrance we need to remind ourselves and everyone else that this year is the 70th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we could live in freedom.
