Welcome to The Royal British Legion in Gwent

Gwent County, Royal British Legion, consists of the Civic Authority areas of the City of Newport, The County of Monmouthshire, The County Boroughs of Torfaen and Blaneau Gwent, the eastern parts of Caerphilly County Borough Council and the area of the City of Cardiff in Llanrumney and St. Mellons.

There are 26 Branches spread around the County, five of which have been active since 1921 when the 'British Legion' was formed.

The Abergavenny branch was the first Gwent Branch established in July 1921. Twenty-six Branches are active throughout the County. Five Branches founded in 1921 are still in continuous service.
