Stoke Gifford RBL are delighted with the hard work carried out by their members at the recent car boot sale. Their Committee much appreciates the efforts of all their volunteers at the event because without them they would have been unable to have achieved such a tremendous outcome. Spurred on by the success they have one more car boot sale on Aug bank holiday Saturday 29 Aug at 1130 at the Parish Hall. Stoke Gifford RBL President, Brian Hewitt, proudly reported that when the ‘Bucket and Tin’ Collection was counted following the Car Boot Sale that coffers were swelled by a further £81:40. This has raised their Poppy Appeal collection to a fantastic record breaking £48,081:70. In addition to the sterling efforts exerted by every Member present in raising funds, the PR created may have attracted new Members. Stoke Gifford PAO, John Moloney, now has his sights set on next year when the Branch will do it all again, and encourages all to maintain the momentum!
