On Sunday 18 March 2018, prior to the St Nazaire Commemoration Parade the Penryn Branch Royal British Legion Chairman, Tony Hendra, accompanied by Branch Vice Chairman Phillip Robinson presented Falmouth Town Mayor Grenville Chappell with a cheque for £2,000.
This donation voted for unanimously by Branch Members is to start the Falmouth War Memorial Restoration and Addition Project. Tony said, "As custodians of Remembrance and the nearest local RBL Branch to Falmouth we feel strongly that the RBL should support this worthwhile project which aims to place the names of all the Fallen from all conflicts alongside those of WWI currently displayed"

(The Penryn Branch RBL meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm at the TS Hichens, Commercial Road, Penryn, all new members always welcome)
