Visit to National Arboretum Memorial

In a joint partnership between Royal British Legion Wembley and Sudbury branch and 78 (Wembley) Squadron, Air Training Corps conducted a visit to National Memorial Arboretum on 29 July 2017.

It was a significant day for all including the young cadets from 78 Squadron and the members of RBL and their families where individuals from all community background came together to pay respect to those who gave their lives for peace in the world. The group was fortunate to have the chance to observe special events such as a WW I Trench which was on display as part of a celebration of the Battles of Passchendaele 100.

The youngest member of the 78 Squadron laid a poppy wreath in the memory of fallen cadets at the tragic bus accident a few years ago.

A successful fundraising day organised at NFL event in Wembley

Following the successful day the last year, RBL Wembley and Sudbury branch in partnership with British Gurkha Nepalese Association (BGNA) a locally based charity organised another successful fundraising event at the NFL event on 24th Septmber 2017.

Baltimore Ravens played against Jacksonville Jaguars at the Wembley Stadium. On this occasion, members of the RBL and BGNA demonstrated the continuous support to our Armed Forces community by raising the significant amount of money.

Thank you very much to all who volunteered for this hard work. Your every little help is counted towards the better treatment of our Armed Forces community.
