The Royal British Legion is recognised as the National Custodian of Remembrance.
Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.
In Needham Market we also hold a brief service of Remembrance at 11 am on 11 November at our Millennium Memorial to commemorate the origin of Remembrance on the anniversary of the Armistice in 1918.
Children from our Primary School take part in this service and we are often joined by the Mayor, Town and District Councillors, parents and members of the public.
