The Poppy Appeal in Little Common
Little Common Branch raised over £5000 during 2019, which compares very favourably with the previous year. Well done to all our volunteer collectors and a big "Thank You" to all the people of Little Common who are always so generous.
Poppy People Needed
Although the Poppy Appeal is a year-round activity, the two-week period prior to Remembrance Sunday sees the familiar poppy sellers out and about raising funds for the vital work of supporting service men and women past and present.
These volunteers form the tip of the iceberg, beneath which further help is needed to make up the trays of poppies, distribute them to collectors and local businesses and then collect them after Remembrance Sunday. Finally, the proceeds need to be counted, banked and properly recorded.
If you can spare a little time (even an hour would be welcome) and would like to volunteer your services, please contact the Branch Poppy Appeal Organiser (details below) or leave your contact details at either of the emails below.
We can all make a difference, so please act today.
