Branch Meeting
The committee has decided to change the date of our June branch meeting due to our planned D-Day remembrance lunch being held on Thursday 6th June. Our monthly branch meeting was due to take place on Tuesday 11th June, the decision has been to bring the branch meeting forward to coincide with the D-Day lunch.
Our June meeting will take place on Thursday 6th June at 10.30 am at Javea Gold Club.
The meeting will be followed by Dave Brettle giving a presentation on the D-Day landings and the heroic actions taken.

Member Discounts
GREAT NEWS for fully paid up members is that ONE more business across the Marina Alta has joined the partnership initiative with RBL Javea. This brings the total so far to Thirteen businesses supporting RBL Javea by offering discounts to our branch members.
In August 2023 we launched a partnership initiative across the Marina Alta with businesses offering discounts to RBL members. Remember to access any discounts offered your current RBL Membership Card will need to be shown.
The New business supporting RBL Javea is:
Vives Pons (Lawyers and Accountants (Denia) - €25 Discount on Wills or Power Of Attorney. OR, they will donate the €25 on your behalf to RBL Javea Branch.

The ENTERTAINERS
The Branch will be presenting an eveniing with The ENTERTAINERS, Thursday 26th September. Proceeds will go towards the 2024 Poppy Appeal.
We have 150 places in total on the evening and at present with sold and reserved tickets we are at a total of 78, hence my sending out this email to members again.
To reserve your tickets I ask that you send me an email to javea.secretary@rbl.community stating how many tickets and where possible the names of the people you wish to reserve a ticket for along with any seating requests, such as wanting a table of 8 for example.

D-Day 80 events
We will be marking the 80th anniversary with events in the UK, Normandy and Bayeux on 5 and 6 June 2024, as well as with community events around the UK.
We are inviting Normandy and WW2 veterans, families of the fallen, descendants of Normandy veterans, and members of the public to join us in commemorating D-Day 80.
