Every penny counts
Spending just a few hours at Morrison's at Calmore or Paulton's Park in Ower can be extremely satisfying.
Selling poppies to trolly-laden shoppers who tip their remaining change into a collecting tin, seeing the delight on a young child's face as a penny or two from their pocket money buys a bright red poppy or a sticker, selling a cross to a war widow or just chatting with a veteran can be a humbling and yet exhilarating experience.
The buzz of attending a coin counting session with the Poppy Co-ordinators can be just as pleasurable. knowing that every penny counts and that it all goes to serve the welfare needs of our Armed Forces makes it all worthwhile.
