The Royal British Legion is the UK's leading Armed Forces charity and one of its largest membership organisations. Members get together through the network of branches and clubs all over the country and overseas to participate in social, fundraising and welfare activities.

 We would like to ask if anyone is willing to serve on the Committee, any volunteers would be gladly welcomed. If interested please contact a member of the Committee on the evening of the meeting.

The Branch are hoping to be able to provide the members with more, and varied social activities. Examples, going out for Sunday Lunches, trips to other clubs that are local to us, so that we can get people out and about again after a long period in Lock Down.

Also this year our Branch celebrates their 100th Anniversary as a RBL registered Branch, on the 16th November. We are looking into a celebration for that which we will inform you of at a later date.

The Royal British Legion continues to support its members especially through these difficult times.

Venue for Meetings:   Comrades Club, Old Road, Clacton

Doors open 7pm, meeting starts 7.30pm. 

A minibus to take members along to the meetings is available but you must book a seat. This can be done by adding your name and address on the list at meetings and confirming the need a for a lift for the next meeting. There are a maximum of 15 seats and they will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Membership is open to everyone. If you have an interest in the objectives of the Legion and want to help and support for those who have served and their families, come and join us. We welcome men and women of all ages, whether they have served in the Armed Forces or not.

Legion membership ensures that

• Remembrance is kept alive and that the sacrifices our brave Service men and women have made are never forgotten.
• The ex-Service community have a voice and that their concerns are brought to the public eye.

Becoming a member also provides the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of activities and events held locally, regionally and nationally throughout the year.
