Remembrance

Welcome to Billingshurst Branch

The Royal British  Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today. We then move to Armistice Day on the 11th November when we return to our War Memorial to pay our respects and share in the two minutes silence.

Our theme for the next three years will remain on the events of World War One in line with National Policy.
